UK Central North Sea, Blocks 30/22 & 23a – Licence P2245
The DeLorean Complex of oil prospects in CNS Blocks 30/22 & 30/23a is adjacent to EnQuest’s redevelopment of the Argyll field (Alma/Galia) and is comprised of 4 prospects mapped from reprocessed 3D with multiple zone objectives and a combined resource potential in excess of 100 million barrels. Impedance/Amplitude studies confirm a potential analogue with the adjacent Argyll (Alma) field. The DeLorean Complex Prospects A, C, D are fault bounded features structurally well positioned for hydrocarbon charge. Well 30/23-3 down dip on Prospect A recorded oil shows, proving migration into the structure. Prospect B is a much larger fault bounded feature to the SW of A, C & D and the chance of hydrocarbon charge increases with good results on the other prospects. An engineering company developed an innovative and efficient “Back to the Future” development approach with an OPEX lower than $10/barrel.
